Re Tin man and compassion:
Care should be exercised in use of tired simpleminded stereotypes. The full expression is:
Conservatives have no hearts and Liberals have no brains.
Fitz only treats us to half of this tired saying. I believe that those churchy Conservatives are the more giving and charitable folks with their own money, while Libs are quite generous with other people's money.

#1 I think he wrote what he met, The state legislature has no heart, for education, and such programs; while Ms Brewer will have little courage to take them on.
As to the liberal conservative thing, I am tried of these labels you are use. Most of the people I know that call themselves conservative, don't want to give directly or with social nets.I've never really met a liberal, but the people you may call such give both from their personal and social pocket.
#2 the one and only good thing about the Govern leaving this state is the fact that, I don't have to read that Nappy rude comment here anymore. I never saw anyone call Mr Bush, Bushy.

Re #2 Actually Obama as the wirzard was rather appropriate if you recall that the wizard was a fake. A false messiah if you will.

The balloon as Washington DC was also appropriate if you remember that the Wizard lost control of it as soon as it got off the ground leaving Dorothy behind Remember his last words as it sailed away, "I don't know how it works!"

Ms Brewer is going to get steamrolled by the conservatives in the legislature. She doesn't have the intellectual capacity to rely on her own judgementand tends to be easily influenced. She's been around a while and knows the state govt., so I hope that helps.
Good job Fitz !! And good luck Arizona.

#12, I think the 'Nappy' is a mix of a shortened name, and some Imus. Speaking of Imus though, I believe I heard that Don Imus is going to introduce the new first family after the inauguration...

Correct, Obama being the wizard can make tons of promises. A clock is not a heart, a diploma is not a brain, and a medal is not courage.
Oh and Janet would never wear a dress.

Before the wizard left for the balloon, he (Bush), was couped up in Emerald City, being controlled behind the scenes (smoke, mirrors, and explosions) by none other than THE lever manipulator, Cheney.

Since when is compassion the attribute we want in a legislature? Barf. How about some common sense and fiscal discipline?

Maybe we can get some fiscal sense into this state. NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE guaranteed that a person can/will/shall get a college education. Maybe we can get the legislature to revoke the ILLEGAL Lottery (and it is by the State's Constitution) as it is and will remain a form of GAMBLING and is being used for other purposes than what the voters intended (and I was not eligible to vote when it was instituted in this State and voted it down in the State I was.) With the removal of Ms. Napalitano and her 'liberal' agenda, we can get down to paying down the State's debt (I own some of it) and making taxes more 'fair'. I doubt that will happen, but maybe it will.

#18 you got until the dress thing,
the only people that deserve metals are the troops. They have the biggest hearts.
And the clock is ticking to remove there heartless brainless commander and chief. Who admits he made a mistake landing on that aircraft carrier and calling it mission complete.
